The Operations Agent Road - Life Science is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day import/export of (international) freight forwarding shipments through road transportation based upon customer requests within the Life Science Division.

• Work with customers to qualify their shipping requirements and obtain all details (regulations, certificates, documentation) necessary for shipment quotation and operating to ensure the customer’s request is satisfied;
• Prepare profitable quotations accurately in collaboration with the team;
• Coordinate the day-to-day import and/or export of products, including reviewing orders and documents;
• Track and communicate all delays, damages, problems and work to resolve customer issues;
• Responsible for all aspects of (international) operations such as customer service, data entry of shipments, operations and billing;
• Manage all aspects of tracking shipments to ensure shipments are moving as scheduled and update system immediately upon verification. Identify and rectify if a shipment has deviated from its schedule;
• Coordinate recovery/delivery schedules with various agents and international partners;
• Ensure all customers’ SOP instructions are adhered to and AIT KPIs and guidelines are followed and met;
• Ensure all shipments are properly billed within company guidelines and timelines;
• Process and comply with all requirements listed by regulatory agencies;
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations;
• Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.

• Experience of 2+ years
• Associates Degree or equivalent
• Experience in international operations and freight forwarding is a preferred.
• ITAR, Dangerous Goods, or TSA work experience or knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously in the work setting

• Fluent oral and written English is a must
• Fluency in Dutch would be an asset
• Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications) preferred
• Experience with CargoWise computer system is helpful
