The International Operations Agent –  Cruise Services is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day import/export of international freight forwarding shipments across air, road, and sea transportation based upon customer requests. He/she will provide special expertise in international cruise services operations.

• Work with customers to qualify their shipping requirements and obtain all details (regulations, certificates, documentation) necessary for shipment quotation and operating in order to ensure the customer’s request is satisfied.
• Prepare profitable quotations accurately.
• Prepare waybills and customs documentation (in collaboration with the customs department)
• Accepting and booking shipments and handling of cross-trade shipments
• Coordinate air, sea, and road transport shipments
• Provide suitable transport options and creative solutions when obstacles arise
• Maintaining contact with the warehouse, customers, carriers, stevedores, shipping agents, hubs, airlines, and shipping companies
• Partner with local sales teams to communicate problems to customers, international partners, and other stations, as needed.
• Ensure all customers’ SOP instructions are adhered to and AIT KPIs and guidelines are followed and met.
• Ensure all shipments are properly billed within company guidelines and timelines.
• Process and comply with all requirements listed by regulatory agencies.
• Network with corresponding departments to ensure files are billed and posted prior to end of month.
• Continuous learning through required compliance training and certifications of software and/or regulations.
• Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable).
• Contribute actively to a healthy and secure work environment by reporting unsafe / unsecure / unhealthy conditions and possible improvements.

• MBO / HBO education level
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience is a plus
• Familiarity with logistics, customs, and relevant legislation required
• Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously in the work setting with strong, open, and honest communication

• Flexible and eager to learn, with the willingness to take courses or follow trainings as required
• Fluent oral and written English is a must, Dutch beneficial
• Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications) preferred
• Cargo Wise Software experience a plus
• ITAR, Dangerous Goods or TSA work experience / regulations is a plus
